Hats

The boys never want to wear hats, but yesterday and today have been hat days! Alex is getting ready for the slopes!

In the picture below Mason has an A&M hat on (the only one he will wear) while Alex is sporting his UT hat (the only one he will wear--Andy and I had zero influence on that!).

We have some sweet boys!

Cariboo--- Our way

If you've ever played Cariboo, you know it's played by drawing a card and opening the door that relates to that card. If there is a ball under that door, you put it into the ball drop to the right of the game. Once all the balls are in the slot the treasure chest is open, and you are the winner. The boys each have their own version.

Mason's version- drop all the balls into the game board and hopefully remember where they are. Then use the purple key to open those doors, remove the balls and fill up the ball drop area in less then 2 seconds. Then, the treasure chest will open and he will be the winner. All of this happens before Alex sits down to play!

Alex's version- Once Mason opens the doors throw all of the remaining cards into the doors to cause enough confusion that Mason drops the purple key that Alex has been eyeing all along!

Actually, I have to hand it to them, they did play very well together today. They had their moments, but overall they did very well.

Water Play

Uncle Casey and Aunt Heather gave Mason this cool flower sprinkler for graduation. He had a blast playing with it yesterday!

He had even more fun trying to direct the spray at Daddy to get him soaked!

Alex wasn't sure about the water. He said he didn't want to play in the sprinkler because then he would get wet!

Alex finally decided to participate on his own terms, with the hose!

An evening at Gammie and Papa's house

It started off with a little "finger" painting. Alex thought he would do some face painting while he was at it!

Then the boys wanted my dad to give them a bath. He doesn't mind if they splash him with water while they get a bath (as you can tell by his shirt!).

I am not sure if the boys or my dad had more fun!

We have a Graduate!

Mason is officially a graduate of Pre-K. We are so proud of him! I can't believe he will be starting kindergarten next year. Here are of a few pictures from the special night.

This is Mason's school picture taken in his graduation outfit. I think it's one of the best pictures he has ever taken.

I am still learning to download pictures so they aren't in the right order! This picture is taken after graduation with his best friends Lindsey and Summer.

Mason's amazing teacher Ms. Sharon is handing Mason his diploma. We all adore Ms. Sharon and will miss her terribly next year!

Fun in the sun

We went to Brenham this weekend to celebrate Grandpa's birthday. The weather was incredible! The boys had a great time playing outside. I haven't been much of a picture taker this last year. So the boys don't know what to think about the camera being in their face so often lately!

Even Scotty had a great time basking in the sun! He loves that he can go with us to Brenham now. Simon and Halo (the cats) aren't huge fans of Scotty but they have decided to tolerate each other.

Here are the guys hard at work removing a chain link fence. They love their projects!

Alex is learning how to drive the tractor. He thinks now that he is two he can get a driver's license. He is great driving straight but is still learning how to turn.

We won't let the boys drive the 3 wheeler yet but they like to pretend they are driving! Sorry no pictures of the girls! We were smart and stayed behind the camera!

Semper Fi

Papa bought the boys Marine Corp shirts from Camp Pendleton in San Diego. They are displaying them as their night attire tonight.

Play day

Today we went to jump at Ready, Set, Play in Round Rock (http://www.readysetplaytx.com/Directions.htm). I took the boys and our friend Dana. We ended up seeing Aidan (Mason's friend from school) and his brother Riddick (Alex's friend from school) there. The 5 of them had a great time playing. Then our friends Cindy and Abby came over to play at our house. It's been a busy day of playing!!

Boys weekend in Brenham

While the girls went to Fredericksburg for Mother's Day weekend the boys spent time in Brenham. Alex took his first trip on Grandpa's boat. The water was very rocky so he was a little scared at first. But we quickly recovered and had a great time. This was Mason's second time out on the boat, so he is now an old pro!

Transportation Parade

Mason's preschool had a transporation parade for all of the Pre-K classes. Each child had to build a means of transporation and "model" it in a parade last Friday. There were some amazing creations! Mason was an airplane!

New Start

I have decided to start a blog so I can hold myself accountable for my new "project". School is almost out for the summer and in order to stay sane I have decide to implement preschool at home. I am going to post our daily activities, pictures and latest news from our family. Stay tuned....
