Photo-a-day

I've never done one of these photo challenges, but I thought it would be fun to try. So we will see how many days I can keep with it in February. Maybe if I can keep up with a photo challenge I could attempt a diet and exercise challenge!

My side kick

We always have to get our work done before we can play. Austin is very helpful in the cleaning department. He loves to carry around the windex and resolve. He also loves to wipe anything. See him wiping down the oven?! Cutie!

He is also a big helper with laundry. He takes the clothes/towels out of the dryer for me. They usually end up on the floor but the other day he changed it up a little and placed the towels on the plant!

           

 

The weather has been so nice the last few days. Friday we went to the park while we waited on the boys to get out of school. He didn't care for the baby swing but he loved to run in the open grass.

 















             

He was very curious about the different things he found in the grass (sticks, leaves, paper).

                   



 

 

 

After the park we sat in my car and ate apples. He thought he was a big shot getting to sit in the front seat.

                       

 

He is fascinated with my water cup, but still hasn't figured out how to drink through a straw. He keeps working on it though!

All of that can really wear a baby out!

This picture was actually taken Sunday morning. It was way past his morning nap time, but we wanted him to nap during church so we kept him up. He had enough and decided to lay down on Mason's robe!

allowed Andy and me to sleep until 9:00!! How is that possible with a one year old?! Mason made Austin's bottle, got him out of bed, fed him and played with him so we could sleep in. What an awesome big brother! Love him so much!

Christmas card pictures

I loved our Christmas card pictures this year. We went over to Natalie's after school one day and she snapped a few pics of the boys. I loved that all 3 boys were smiling for the picture below.

This one is so sweet and innocent (looks can be deceiving sometimes!).

This is my favorite! The little one is quite opinionated! He did not want the hat on! I loved how Mason was still posing for the picture like we asked him to, and Alex was being the helpful brother.

I loved all of the Christmas cards we received this year (like every year). I love checking the mailbox during Christmas and getting to see how big all of our friends kids are getting.

We had a great Christmas this year. The kids got too much and I ate too much. We enjoyed spending time with family and friends. I'll miss the kids when they go back to school, but I won't miss the fighting! How many more days?!

Into everything

I know Austin is a typical one year old, but it's been awhile since I've had one, and this kid is exhausting! He is into everything and wants to be right in the middle of the action. When we were at my mom's for Christmas he got into Lucky's dog cage and then into Papa's liquor cabinet. The little bottles of alcohol (that my dad has had in that cabinet since I was a little kid) were just Austin's size..he thought!



















Even though I'm worn out by the end of the day, he brings so much entertainment and joy into our lives. And I'm glad he is so curious, means he is learning!

Ice Skating

Heather took Mason and Alex ice skating on the roof of Whole Foods over the Christmas break. It was their first time to ice skate, but they got the hang of it pretty well. It was COLD that day so after ice skating they got a special treat of hot chocolate. They had a great time and secretly I enjoyed the peace and quiet (since it was during Austin's nap time)! Thanks Aunt Heather!
