WCF Auction
Wednesday morning Andy and Mason woke up to a dead show bird and a show bird without a band. The band popped of its wing which disqualified it from the show. So Mason had to show 1 show bird and two alternates. He placed #16. He didn't originally make the sell but two other sellers also showed in other categories where they placed higher. You can only sell in one category so that moved Mason up a couple of spots. We found out that Mason made the sell about 9:00 Wednesday night. He was so excited he couldn't fall asleep! The auction started at 2pm Thursday. Mason was lot 250. So he didn't sell until close to 8:00 last night! He stood up in front of all the buyers (with a painful ear infection) and held onto a wagon with a chicken inside. It wasn't his chicken, just one to represent what he was selling.

Fredericksburg
In August Andy and I celebrated 11 years of marriage. We decided to take a quick trip to Fredericksburg to get away. We booked it at the last minute. But I found a place that looked really cute online. I have to give the people credit for taking some amazing pics because what we saw online and what we saw in person were pretty different! It was basically a shack in the backyard of another house! We arrived at night and it was pretty creepy walking in the dark through the yard to get to the shack! It was one tiny room with a bathroom. It stormed Saturday night and the walls literally shook. I almost went and slept in the car because it seemed safer! But at least we were able to get away and we have a funny story to tell about it!

Our room! There wasn't a closet so we hung our clothes on the curtain rod! The tv was a 12 inch I believe! It was smaller than our computer monitor! But we had a good time and the boys enjoyed hanging out with my mom, Casey and Heather.

Soccer
The big boys are playing soccer this fall. Andy is coaching Alex's team. This is Mason's first year to play. They combined two age brackets this year so Mason is playing on the same team as 7th graders! He is one of the youngest on the team but he did great at his first practice. I'm hopeful it's a sport he enjoys! The games start in Oct and the season finished up end of Nov. I don't have any close up pics yet but below is a pic of Andy talking to the team at the first practice.

Andrew Dallmeyer, CPA
Andy is officially a CPA now! Well, actually he has been official for over a month now...I'm super behind on blogging! Getting certified was just a personal goal for Andy which makes this accomplishment even more impressive in my eyes. He started this journey when we both worked at Dell. He went to ACC at night. He took all of his in person classes while we lived in Austin. When we moved to Brenham he was able to take the remaining classes online through HCC. He studied for and took all 4 tests in a little over a year, along with working full time, and taking care of a family which included a newborn. He never wanted his studying to impact us so he wouldn't start studying until we were asleep for the night. That meant very late nights and early mornings for him. There were countless mornings he would go to work on 2 hours of sleep. I can't do that. I couldn't even do that in college! I'm so proud of his accomplishments and especially proud that he is such a great role model for the boys! When Andy was looking at his license Mason asked what it was. Andy said "it's what I have been working so hard to get all these years!" Awesome job honey! We love you!

Austin 9 months
It's still hard for me to believe sometimes that I have a 9 year old, 6 year old and 9 month old! Everyone is growing fast, but especially baby Austin. Sadly, I don't have too many pics, and yet again they are from my phone! Poor child! Austin doesn't like to be still for too long so it's hard to take his picture. Here are some things I want to remember about this age.
He sits up on his own very well. He also scoots forward and spins around when he is sitting. He loves sitting in chairs that are just his size. This chair has been used with all the boys.
Austin loves music. When he hears music he starts moving! He either moves his arms up and down (like in the pic below) or he moves his shoulders up and down. Or he will kick his legs. Somehow he gets into the rhythm!
He talks much more now. He loves to talk to our cat, Shelby. He will also talk to his mobile and family members.
His hair is getting thicker and he is starting to have little curls in the back. It's so cute! I don't remember Mason or Alex having curls.
He has 4 teeth now. Two bottom teeth and two top teeth. You can sort of see his bottom teeth in the pic below. He was fussing at me because he wanted out of his jumparoo! I was trying to get him to be still enough for a picture!
Now that Austin has teeth we have to brush them! He was not a fan of the toothbrush at first but he is getting more tolerant.
He loves his bath! It calms him down immediately if he is fussy!
He eats baby food 3 times a day and drinks 20oz of milk. I feel like he is ready for foods with more texture but he still gags when I give him Gerber puffs so I guess he isn't there yet! He usually goes to bed between 8-9 (depending on the big boys activities) and gets up anywhere between 5-6:30. On the weekends (if we are home) he will take 2 pretty decent naps. During the week he usually takes an hour nap in the am and a 30-45 min nap in the pm. He falls asleep in the car on the way to carline and sleeps until the kids get into the car. I know he needs a longer afternoon nap but I haven't figured out how to do that with carline.
When we have trouble getting Austin to take a nap we put him in his car seat and carry him around the house. He is usually out in a matter of minutes! Car rides do the trick every time too!
He still isn't crawling but he can scoot himself backwards when he is on his stomach. He also rolls everywhere. He is so close to crawling but not quite there yet! Mason was 9 months and Alex was 10 months when they crawled so Austin is right on track with his brothers!
He still would rather play with his brothers then a certain toy. He cried for 3 days in a row when I dropped the boys off at school that 1st week.
He has had his first stomach virus and cold already. And he has already been on the nebulizer. He was sick for 3 weeks but (knock on wood) he is finally better!
He is such a good baby. Slightly spoiled, but so sweet! I can't imagine life without him!

Just a swingin'
The weather this weekend was amazing!! It was very welcome, especially since we have been house bound for almost 3 weeks with sick kids. We spent some time at the park this weekend while visiting my mom. Austin enjoyed his first time to swing. I know, I'm a terrible mom for not taking him before now! It's just been way too hot! I need to take him again soon!
UT Football
This football season is Heather's last fall semester at UT. I can't believe she graduates in May! Heather took Mason to the game on Saturday (while Casey was at the A&M game). Mason was unbelievably excited! He has never been to a college football game. Heather said his eyes were as big as saucers when they walked through the gate into the stadium. She said she loved watching the game through his eyes. I was a little worried about what he might be exposed to since they were sitting in the student section but he didn't come home with any horror stories. But he did have plenty of stories about how people were dressed! One guy was in a gorilla suit with a grass skirt. Several guys were shirtless, painted and glittered up. One guy was sporting an inner tube around his waist, etc. There was lots of cheering, screaming, dancing, singing and laughing all around him! I think Mason took it all in and loved it. He was really into the game too, even though it was a blow out! He talked about it until after midnight Saturday night and woke up the next day talking about it! Thank you so much, Heather, for making memories for Mason!
