This weekend

This weekend the boys and I went to Austin. My mom and I took the boys to a toy store in Round Rock and watched a cute show by this guy http://www.chickendog.net/. He did lots of tricks, he had dogs that did tricks, and a parrot that talked. The boys sat still for a solid hour and watched. Then they walked around the toy store and picked out about 10 toys each that they wanted for Christmas! It's that time of year already!
Saturday afternoon the boys and I met Cindy, Abby and Andy (Cindy's Andy) at the park. After the park we went to dinner. It was so good to see them. Abby and Mason have known each other since birth and the three kids play so well together. It was great to catch up with Cindy and Andy. It made me realize that I need to do a better job of keeping in touch with my Austin friends. I rarely have time to talk on the phone, which means I have lost touch with most of my friends. I know I can call any of them and we can pick up where we left off, but the truth is we don't pick up with phone. I really want to change that. I really want to start blogging again too. I have to figure out how to make more time. I have one more week of subbing. Then I will have my mornings back! I have so many plans for my mornings. I want to start exercising, cooking healthy meals for dinner (maybe I should just say cooking!), organizing my house, etc! Also, I can do my school work (including observing) in the morning as well. Then I won't have to pawn Alex off on family and friends in the afternoons! He has been so sweet, just going with the flow.
I would rather continue blogging, but laundry is calling my name! Until next time....

Halloween

The Pharaons invited us over for dinner and trick or treating on Halloween. We brought our pumpkins to carve while James cooked. We had so much fun. The dinner was fabulous and everyone had a great time visiting and playing. Mason carved his pumpkin all by himself this year. I think it turned out great. Alex picked a very detailed witch for Andy to carve! I supervised!

Here are all of the kiddos before we headed out for trick or treating. Alex was a magician. Mason was a mummy. Kayci was an eskimo and Noble was a pirate. They were all very cute!

Cub Scouts

I am so behind in blogging that I debated on even sending these posts out. I know it's old news, but what the heck. A few weeks ago we went camping at Happy Hollow with the cub scouts. The camp out was the day before Halloween so the pack incorporated pumpkins and trick or treating into the scout events. Mason and Alex (and the rest of the pack) loved climbing this tree!

Mason had 5 sessions he had to attend during the day Saturday. His sessions included geology, hiking, art, table tennis & map and compass. While Mason was at his sessions Alex and I just hung out. I was debating on whether Alex was bored or people watching in this picture!

Last year when we went camping with the cub scouts we borrowed most items (tent, sleeping bags, flashlights) from Kristi and James. This year we bought a tent and an air mattress. We still borrowed the sleeping bags from Kristi and James. Maybe by next year we will own all of our own stuff! The tent was really nice. It sleeps 8 so there was plenty of room for the 4 of us and all of the STUFF I brought! I didn't want to be cold so I brought lots of blankets. It was still pretty cold! Overall, I think the boys had a great time. That's all that counts anyway!
