Day 30: in my kitchen

I'm terrible at keeping up with my blog, even during the photo-a-day challenge.
Maybe I'll try again in May.
Anywho, in my kitchen I have flowers from our rose bushes. They are really blooming this year. My kitchen smells amazing!

Day 18: looking out

Looking out from our patio. I love the hanging plants missy gave us. They are so bright and colorful! I see two boys jumping on the trampoline and one boy feeding cows. :)

Day 17: new

This was a new experience for me. A swarm of honeybees gathered in one of our trees. Andy's uncle came over with his bee suit and beehive box and got them out of the tree and into the box. Thank goodness! I'd rather buy honey at the store then to have a 1,000 bees in my backyard producing it. I'm a scared of getting stung!
But it was a very interesting thing to watch. It's amazing how quickly they gathered and how tightly they hung on to each other and the branch! It's also amazing how much power that queen has! Where she goes, thousands follow. Maybe there is a lot more we can learn from bees then I originally thought!

Day 16: old

Andy's cousin, Christine wanted a picture of their grandparents at their wedding. Andy's mom had one and gave it to me to try to scan and email to Christine. My scanner didn't do a great job so I brought it to Christine at work and one of her co-workers scanned it. Long story short...here is an "old" picture!

Day 14: a living thing

Shelby has come a long way in her short life. She went from a feral stray cat...hungry, flee ridden, etc to a spoiled rotten indoor cat who sleeps on our bed! Lucky her!

Day 13: a favorite place

One of my favorite places is what I call our front living room even though technically it's in the back of the house. Not sure how it got it's name! I love to read, do my bible study, take naps, and play games with the kids in this room. I love natural light and this room has a ton of natural light.

Day 12: I ate

I ate 2 of these (straight from the freezer) today and feel slightly guilty about it. But they sure were good!

Day 11: outside

We spent a good amount of time outside before school this am. I casually opened the kitchen blinds and noticed two black cows grazing in our neighbors front yard....Mason's fair steers! All panic set in! Andy is out of town so mason called grandpa and then he and I started trying to get them back into the pen. I'm sure we looked pretty hysterical in our pj's chasing cows around the neighborhood! Mason went to school without breakfast and dressed in the car but we made it on time! What a way to start the day!

Day 9: collection

Austin has lots of collections. Here are a couple. He knows I'm ready to get rid of the pacifier so now he wants to sleep with every one he owns! Oy!


Our pediatrician tells me if he doesn't see bruises on boys he wonders if they ever have fun or get out and play! Austin definitely has fun and plays! Check out his collection of bruises, and that's just on one leg!

Day 6: rounded

I like to have rounded edges on each picture I put in my project life album. I am not a scrapbooker or the creative type, but this has been so easy and fun! I hope I can continue to keep up with it! Then at least the boys would have ONE album to look back on!

Day 2: shine

I joined a bible study at Kristi's church this semester. I see God "shine" through these ladies every Wednesday. Super blessed. One day I hope to be where they are in their Christian journey.

Day 1: fun

I'm going to attempt to do the April photo-a-day challenge in hopes it motivates me to start blogging again!
Speaking of fun..Alex has started summer swim league. He has so much fun and we love cheering him on from the sidelines. I hope he enjoys this season as much as he did last season!
