Andy's conference in Minneapolis

Andy attended a conference in Minneapolis a couple of weeks ago. Thought I would share some of the pics he took. Looks like a beautiful, fun city! I love this sunset picture! Amazing!

Below is a Pedal Pub. Andy said there is a bartender in the middle of the trolley that serves the people pedaling drinks. Interesting idea. What happens when people have had a few and stop pedaling!

It took us (Harper, Natalie, Andy, Buddy, Casey, Heather and me) about 12 hours of driving, packing, loading and unloading but we did it. Andy and Harper went back to Austin today to get the last few things and clean up the apartment. I can't even tell you how hard everyone worked. We owe Harper and Natalie big time. We joked last night that you know if you have true friends if they help you move from start to finish! We definitely have true friends. Thank you so much. I will post pictures of the inside of the house once we get things settled in some. It looks like a tornado went through it right now. We are currently searching for an internet provider that will offer high speed internet where we live. Hopefully we get that resolved soon. I can't be without my blog world for too long! :)

July Flashbacks

I was looking through some old pics tonight. I decided to post a few from the month of July for the past three years. Below is a picture of the boys and our friends from Brenham at a 4th of July bash. They were watching the fireworks from the back of Andy's truck!

July 2006 at Mason's Godfather's house (Greg and Jenn) with all their buddies! From left to right (Reece, Alex, Luke, Mateo, Mason). Luke and Reece are twins and are the same age as Mateo and Mason. Mateo has a little sister named Marley that is Alex's age. She wasn't in the picture because they boys wanted it to be BOYS ONLY!

Schools

The boys are both registered for school in the Fall. Mason will be attending Krause Elementary. http://classroom.brenhamisd.net/webs/kes/. Brenham has an open enrollment policy so we were able to request the school we wanted Mason to attend. He was placed in our top choice school, so we are very excited about that. It's an exemplary campus with lots of great teachers (from what we hear).
Alex was able to get into St. Paul's (with a little help from some locals!) and is registered in the Monday/Tuesday class as a Bouncing Bear. http://www.stpaulsbrenham.org/st_paul_s_day_school. We were able to tour the school and visit his classroom on Thursday. I was very impressed and know Alex is going to have a blast there. I plan on being very involved in both schools.
Andy is enjoying his first month at Mid South Synergy. He is attending a conference in Minnesota this weekend and will attend another conference in Florida in a couple of weeks.
We have a walk through of our house next Wednesday (7/15) and can move in the next day. However, we plan on moving in that weekend with the help of friends. (Thanks in advance!)
Right now I am in the packing phase, which I dread, but it is what it is! Just wanted to pass along a quick update! Hope everyone is doing well!

To be a cat

Our very good friends, Harper and Natalie, have the two coolest cats (and a really cool dog, and lots of really fun chickens...but that is beside the point!) Don't you feel sorry for this cat?! What a life!

Fireworks

On the 4th we ended up watching a fireworks show on the lawn of the George Bush Library at my alma mater, Texas A&M. It was a last minute venture, but turned out to be well worth it. The boys were so tired (we spent the afternoon/evening at Avery's birthday party) and the fireworks didn't start until 10pm but they did fantastic! I took some video of the fireworks (with the A&M band playing in the background) but figured posting a picture of the boys was even better! Maybe I am a little biased!

Avery's 1st Birthday

Mason and Alex's little cousin Avery had her first birthday party on 4th of July. We all had a blast. The boys spent a good hour on the slip and slide outside! Here is sweet Avery enjoying the water!

I loved watching Andy play with baby Jacob. Jacob wants to walk really bad so I think he appreciated the extra help from Andy!
